- Are you tired of constantly having to re-apply your favorite design theme every time you use PowerPoint? Learn how to make your design theme the default one for all your new power point presentations.

1. Open up PowerPoint.
2. Go to the Design Template area, find the theme that you want to set as your default theme.
- 2007 & 2010 Users:
Go to the Design tab.
- 2003 Users:
In the Format menu, Click on Slide Design > Choose a design in the Slide design task pane.
3. Set Design as default for all new Power Point Presentations.
- 2007 & 2010 Users:
Right-click on the theme and select “Set as Default Theme.
- 2003 Users:
Right click on the design and select “Use for All NEW Presentations” option.
4. Close Power Point and reopen to confirm that the theme that you choose opens up as the Default Theme.
5. That's it. This theme will always open up when you open up PowerPoint.
