Excel PowerPivot and PowerBI Tools
(3 days)

Boot Camp Dates: Quarter 2 2016

PowerPivot is quickly becoming the reporting tool of choice by Excel experts. Why?

  • PowerPivot uses familiar but enhanced PivotTables and PivotCharts for its reporting
  • PowerPivot allows you to import a few rows of data up to many millions (yes millions) of rows of data from multiple data sources into a single workbook
  • PowerPivot eliminates the need for VLOOKUPS in the source data by allowing you to create relationships between data similar to a database
  • PowerPivot simplifies PivotTable formats, by using data types and user selected number formats for your fields
  • PowerPivot gives you the ability to create custom calculated columns and measures using formulas
  • PowerPivot makes it easy to analyze the data so that you can make timely business decisions without requiring IT assistance

Do you have large amounts of data that needs to be summarized? Do you use PivotTables regularly to summarize your source data? Do you have multiple sources of related data? Do you feel that repetitive PivotTables require too much setup? If you answered yes to any of these questions, this course is designed for you.
